With every wedding I film, I try to make sure I capture it so that it looks spectacular. However, for Krishanthy and Abhinay, everything about their wedding was beyond stunning, held at The Grounds of Alexandria.
For starters, this was a three-day celebration. The first night was one big party. There was dancing. There was singing. There were some fantastic speeches from friends and family members. We got to capture every second of the energy coming from the room as everyone celebrated Krishanthy and Abhinay.
It led perfectly into the second part of the wedding, which was a traditional Hindi ceremony. There were so many moving parts to it that Ben and I managed to capture every significant moment. Everything from fire to fruit was used to unite the happy couple. It meant a lot to the family members that this ceremony took place, especially as many of them participated.
The final part of the wedding took place at the stunning Grounds of Alexandria. It was a wedding I was more familiar with filming. Krishanthy and Abhinay exchanged heart-warming vows before sealing their union with a kiss. Thankfully, no one had to travel too far to get to the reception. You might think after three days of partying that the mood might be a little low. However, you’d be so wrong.
The party was just getting started. Everyone was on their feet and having a ball. Krishanthy was even hoisted into the sky and carried around like a queen. There was so much fun and love in the air that it was infectious to everyone in the room.
