While I get to film weddings at some of the most amazing places in the Illawarra and Southern Highlands, it’s always a blast to go interstate to Tasmania. So I jumped at the opportunity to spend some time in Tasmania to film Richael and Jimmy’s wedding.
The moment I stepped off the plane, I knew I was somewhere special. When I arrived at the venue, I was blown away. The pictures don’t do this place justice. Everywhere you look, your jaw drops further. It’s easy to see why Richael and Jimmy love living in this part of Australia.
Speaking of love, these guys couldn’t stop getting lost in each other throughout the whole day. From the moment they met at the ceremony through to the final dance of the evening, they were inseparable. They both got choked up when exchanging their vows, and that wasn’t the only time tears were shed.
During the speeches at the reception, everyone felt the love within their company. Mums, dads, brothers, and sisters were all in awe of Richael and Jimmy. It made it even harder for the couple to get their words out during their own speeches. It was just as difficult for them to cut their own cake. They broke the knife while trying to get a clean slice.
But when all of us couldn’t cry anymore, we danced. There’s nothing like busting a move in a completely open field with nothing but the night sky looking down at you. Everyone swarmed the dancefloor, enjoyed each other’s company, and helped finish off an incredible day.
