SHANE + THARUSHI | THE STABLES, BENDOOLEY ESTATE

Even though I’ve filmed at The Stables, Bendooley Estate enough times that I’m now a preferred supplier, I continue to get surprised by many of the couples I get to shoot there.

Shane and Tharushi is one of these couples. While I knew ahead of time that there would be a Buddhist ceremony followed by a traditional civil service, I had no idea what to expect and how it would look at the The Stables, Bendooley Estate. I was greeted by two men in traditional outfits beating drums and a couple of dancers who put my moves to shame. What followed was a ceremony I felt honoured to capture on film. There were so many moving elements that words don’t do it justice, but the energy was unforgettable.

Not only was it an honour to film Shane and Tharushi, but I was also able to work alongside the talented photographer Gavin Cato who is a master behind the lens. All of us were able to capture some stunning moments around Bendooley Estate. There is so much greenery on the site that it makes the perfect backdrop for any loving couple. It even started to drizzle at one point and no one got upset. All it did was add to the already beautiful imagery.

Eventually we took shelter in the Bendooley Estate Stables where the reception was held. The sleek wooden interior provided cosy protection from the rain outside. There were also enormous glass windows behind the bridal table that showcased breathtaking views of the surrounding area. After some memorable speeches, an unbelievable choreographed dance with friends and family, everyone was ready to loosen up and party for the rest of the night. But Shane, Tharushi, and I would light up the night sky one last time with some sparklers. It was the perfect end to this memorable wedding.

I’m sure this video will be unforgettable for you as well. If you like what you see, then get in touch with us and check out the rest of our films on our Vimeo page
